Sunday Craft - Paper Ornaments DIY

What do I do with my watercolor test scrap papers and old paintings? I’ve been making them into paper ornaments. My idea is too hopefully to use them outside as little lanterns for my patio lights. For now I’ve placed them in a large glass bowl on my coffee table and I am hanging some in the window as a reminder that spring is on its way, thank goodness!!

All you need is paper, paper fasteners, a hole punch, and string. I cut strips of paper about 1/2” wide, punched holes in either end and attached the paper fastener with colorful string. I used old test watercolor papers. I also made my own paper dropping bright color watercolor paint onto inexpensive watercolor paper. This is an excellent project to do with children too. You can string them on a ribbon to make a wall hanging or around a window. There are endless ideas for these cute ornaments. I’m going to make tissue paper tassels to add to my paper ornament garland. I’ll post a photo when I finish that idea.

Let me know if you have any questions, I’d love to help you make your DIY craft projects.
